Se aclaró que el mínimo de 1 año de Vermont se aplica únicamente cuando el tribunal impone una pena de prisión (permite una multa sola) y se añadió que los tribunales de Florida pueden apartarse del mínimo obligatorio de 4 años en un atropello y fuga fatal en casos limitados sin conducción bajo la influencia.

Se corrigió la cifra máxima de pena para el atropello y fuga con resultado de muerte. La página anteriormente tenía un tope de 15 años; un atropello y fuga fatal en Florida es un delito grave de primer grado punible con hasta 30 años bajo Fla. Stat. 775.082(3)(b), y ese tope ahora aparece en la introducción, los puntos clave, la tabla de penas y las preguntas frecuentes. Se corrigió la cita de la pena de Michigan, que apuntaba a MCL 257.617a (una sección que cubre solo los choques con lesiones) en lugar de MCL 257.617, que contiene los delitos graves por deterioro grave y por choque fatal, y se reformularon ambos niveles de Michigan con sus cifras. Se aclaró que un delito grave de Clase 5 en Virginia puede castigarse como delito grave o, a discreción del tribunal o del jurado, como delito menor. Se actualizaron las estadísticas de choques hasta 2024, que muestran que las muertes de peatones por atropello y fuga disminuyeron desde su punto máximo en 2022, se corrigió la tasa nacional de conductores sin seguro a 14.0%, y se depuró la lista de fuentes.
