Leyes de cámaras de tablero en Hawai: reglas de grabación, consentimiento de audio y límites legales (2026)

Actualizaciones

Removed an unsupported claim about which dashcam mounting spot draws citations and corrected when hidden recording becomes a felony under HRS 711-1110.9.

We corrected this page to explain that the driver's one-party consent covers only conversations the driver takes part in, not passengers' own conversations, completed the HRS 803-48 civil damages list, described the private-place law accurately, removed an unsupported claim that Hawaii's penalty is among the harshest in the country, and clarified the TAKE IT DOWN Act dates.

Removed a fabricated citation to 'HRS 291-12.5,' a windshield-obstruction statute that does not exist in Hawaii law, and replaced the mounting guidance with an honest statement that Hawaii has no dashcam-mounting statute, plus general safety practice.
