Leyes de Grabación de Video de Nuevo Mexico: Vigilancia, Filmación y Reglas de Consentimiento (2026)

Actualizaciones

Described 18 months as the basic sentence for a fourth-degree felony and corrected the description of the unfair-prejudice rule (Rule 11-403 NMRA).

We corrected the description of New Mexico's voyeurism law (it covers recording intimate areas without knowledge and consent, including in public, not all filming in private places), added the federal limit on recording conversations you are not part of, stated the fourth degree felony tier for victims under 18 and the actual registration rules, gave the sensitive-images law its intent elements, and removed an unsupported claim that voyeuristic footage is inadmissible.

Corrected the TAKE IT DOWN Act's enactment date (signed May 19, 2025, not 2026 -- 2026 is the platform-compliance deadline) and corrected the voyeurism and revenge-porn misdemeanor jail-time figures from 'up to 1 year' to the statute's actual cap of 364 days.
