Leyes de Voyerismo y Cámaras Ocultas de Alaska: AS 11.61.123 Explicado (2026)

Actualizaciones

We corrected the penalties for Alaska's indecent viewing and picture law, whose felonies are sentenced as sex offenses (2 to 12 years presumptive for a first offense, up to 99 years) and always require registration, restated the security-camera defense and the offense's elements in the statute's own terms, corrected the HB 47 vote and its pending version, and narrowed the federal video voyeurism law to its actual reach. We corrected an FAQ answer to state that Alaska's voyeurism statute turns on capturing a person's private exposure rather than on consent, removed an unsupported claim that registrants face residence and work restrictions, tied the rental, workplace, hotel and school examples to the statute's private-exposure element, and updated the status of House Bill 47, which has not become law.

Added the minor carve-out AS 11.61.123 omitted throughout the article: viewing (without producing an image) a minor's private exposure is a Class C felony, not the flat Class A misdemeanor the page stated for all viewing-only conduct.
