Leyes de Grabación en Escuelas de Nueva Jersey: Estudiantes, Padres y Educadores

Actualizaciones

Corrected the description of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-9 to include its undergarment-clad tier.

We corrected the IEP recording guidance: New Jersey's special education rules let participants audio-record an IEP meeting only if they tell the others before it starts, federal law gives no recording right of its own, and mediation and resolution meetings have stricter limits. We also added the 2026 state law requiring districts to bar non-academic phone use during the school day, and credited the right to record school board meetings to case law rather than the Open Public Meetings Act.

Restated the hidden-camera offense with its statutory capture element and repointed two dead education-agency links.
