Oklahoma failure to appear law
In Oklahoma, missing a required court date after release can be charged as its own crime. The statute grades it by the kind of case:
- Released on a felony charge: Class D3 felony. (22 O.S. § 1110) Only if the bail was forfeited or the undertaking violated, and the person did not surrender within 5 days after the forfeiture.
incurs a forfeiture of the bail or violates such undertaking or recognizance and willfully fails to surrender himself within five (5) days following the date of such forfeiture shall, if the bail was given or undertaking or recognizance extended in connection with a charge of felony or pending appeal or certiorari after conviction of any such offense, be guilty of a Class D3 felony offense
Note: Laws 2025, c. 486, § 705, eff. Jan. 1, 2026. - Released on any charge: Class D1 felony. A person admitted to bail before a district court who incurs a forfeiture and willfully fails to surrender within 30 days, or willfully breaks the terms of a personal recognizance, is guilty of a Class D1 felony. (59 O.S. § 1335) Only if the bail was forfeited and the person did not surrender within 30 days, or the person willfully broke the terms of a personal recognizance.
(1) incurs a forfeiture of the bail and willfully fails to surrender himself within thirty (30) days following the date of such forfeiture, or (2) willfully fails to comply with the terms of his personal recognizance, shall be guilty of a Class D1 felony offense

What this page does not do
- It does not check whether a warrant was issued in any case or whether anyone will be arrested.

- It collects nothing; your choices stay in your browser.
