Nevada RV / Camper Requirements
Nevada does not strictly require a separate RV bill of sale to title, but one is strongly recommended as proof of the sale. Notarization is not required for a Nevada RV bill of sale. Nevada publishes an official form (Bill of Sale (Form VP-104)).
Federal law (49 CFR Part 580, Truth in Mileage Act) requires the seller to disclose the actual odometer reading at transfer for vehicles under 20 model years old; model-year-2011-or-newer vehicles are NOT exempt (the 20-year exemption took effect Jan 1, 2021 for MY2011+; MY2010 became exempt Jan 1, 2020). Nevada implements this on the Certificate of Title -- the seller enters the current mileage in the title's Odometer Reading section. The VP-104 bill of sale itself has no odometer field, so the disclosure is captured on the title rather than the bill of sale. Vehicles meeting the federal age exemption (the Nevada DMV references model year 2010-or-older) may use the exempt option.
