Md. Code, Transportation § 16-404

Other consequences

A first points suspension lasts 2 to 30 days; later suspensions last 15 to 90 days.

Md. Code, Transportation § 16-404

Other consequences

A notice of suspension or revocation takes effect 10 days after it is sent unless the driver requests a hearing within that time.

Md. Code, Transportation § 16-404

How long points count

MVA actions count points accumulated within any 2-year period, and points are assessed as of the violation date once there is a conviction. Points stay on the official record after they stop counting toward actions.
