Uses a point system

Kentucky

Kentucky assigns penalty points to traffic convictions, and points expire two years from the conviction date. A driver 18 or older gets a warning letter at 6 points and faces a hearing that can lead to suspension or probation at 12 points within two years (4 and 7 points for drivers under 18).
